Triche Comeback

The unquestioned leader of the Jamesville-Dewitt state championship basketball team was Brandon Triche. The 6'4" point guard earned a scholarship to play for Syracuse University. Coach Jim Boeheim expects him to start right away. Watching his acrobatic feats throughout the 2008-2009 season you would have never known Brandon tore his ACL in his sophomore year of high school.

Triche started on the varsity team as a freshman and was averaging over 25 points a game through the first 10 games of his sophomore season. When he tore his ACL it ended his season and his teams hopes of winning a state championship.

Triche came back his junior year but was not his high flying self. He wore a knee brace and no longer had the explosiveness he once had. Some questioned whether he could return to his previous form.

Triche diligently rehabbed in hopes of returning bigger, stronger, and faster than he was before the injury. All his hard work would soon pay off.
